Musings at the Airport Part 3: Birds Eye view

As I continue my journey from the airport I enter into the plane. I always love sitting in the window seat. I enjoy gazing out the window just to take in the view of everything.

I see the land all around me, the life below becoming smaller and smaller. I can see the roads and highways twisting and turning. I see barren land with no trees. It looks like massive pits were dug. Or perhaps it was a fire. Either way, the earth looks scarred. I can also see bodies of water, lakes, rivers, reservoirs. They are all surrounded by the trees and grass. Signs of life after the devastation of developments or changes to the face of the earth.

What I’ve noticed is that life seems to go on after the digging, flattening, or natural disasters. Regrowth happens. All it takes is a little water. Water brings new growth. New growth brings new life and beauty. New opportunities.

So I have a question for you. Does your heart feel like the scorched, scarred, barren land? Do you feel dry and crusty? Broken? Tired? Useless? If only you could rise above it as if on a plane to get a birds eye view of what God sees, what only He can do…hmmm. You would see His Master Plan for your life. God sees the finished masterpiece of you in its entirety. Do you find that comforting.

Only the living water of Jesus can heal you, refresh you, give you rest, comfort, peace. If you let him He will bring that new life, abundant life, precious life back into your soul. This is why He died for us. Drink the Living Water and you will never thirst again.

Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.” John 4:13-14

The questions I leave with you…can you get His vision for you?  Can you accept what has happened that has left you dry and lay it at His feet, trusting in the unknown, trusting in Him?  Can you get a glimpse of Jesus and trust that He is refreshing you? Be refreshed through Jesus.
